The Deep South has been my home for all of my life, and I'm still finding ways this has influenced my point of view. I'm more likely to go gawk at an eclipse or yell at a derby bout for entertainment. I was born and raised in Atlanta. I've a deep love for music, but I have many other interests. I am pursuing a degree in Physics to teach. I thoroughly enjoy casual philosophy and many intellectual pursuits, but have always enjoyed a story in any form, such as movies, books, video games, and theatre. I enjoy celebrating life with family & close friends, making them laugh & supporting them. I am usually the person who accompanies them on so-called crazy activity others are unwilling to try. My buddy & I rollerbladed around a mountain one day. I ended up scarred, but had a great time. I love sharing my creative & physical interests, such as performance & visual arts, cooking, tennis, & traveling. This year, I joined a mixed doubles tennis league, enjoyed a solo trip to the Dominican Republic, ventured into (& failed at) a different career, created new recipes, & reconnected with family members I have not seen in years.

For a first date, dinner and a movie are okay, but boring to me. I enjoy being active. We could participate in a volunteer activity together, play pool or tennis or go bowling. A walk in a interesting neighborhood, looking at shops and galleries would be interesting. Even a trip to a museum would be nice. I would love to do something that shows me my date's interests and is the not the same old idea.

Love is a decision, not a fantastical ideal that comes and goes fleetingly. Love compels people to show others care, concern, consideration, unbelievable loyalty and support no matter what - even during the hard times. If the one you love does not have time for you, that person does not love you. A person's life and schedule shows what has priority in his or her life. If you are high on that list for a long time, then this one might be a keeper.

Joining the tennis league and community association was one of the best things I have done because it has allowed me to meet many wonderful, fun, and active people. It has also rooted me into a community setting, whereas before I just moved between home and work. In season, we usually meet up twice per week. Traveling is amazing for me because I see other parts of the world and widen my perspective. Solo trips strengthen my sense of independence and confidence. Getting away to refresh myself is also a bonus. Participating in and patronizing performance arts nurtures my creativity and joy, and allows me to leave a mark on the world.

My perfect day would depend on how I'm feeling. On a rainy day like this one, I enjoyed sleeping in and listening to the rain, reading a good book over breakfast, doing a little community service, and checking in with a couple of friends. For the rest of the day, I anticipate heading over to the library, finishing up my Christmas shopping, and doing some taebo. For the next week or so, I'll be traveling up and down the east coast for the holidays with family and friends. So this is the last bit of free time I'll have for a little while.

I am single and fully ready for marriage and children. My life is full of experiences, good and bad, that have prepared me and taught me what I want and what I bring to the table. I enjoy being active outdoors, playing board games, cooking full meals, spending time with friends and family, and traveling as much as possible. Well first of all if it's not raining and I have no plans you can probably bet I'm out cycling. I can't just sit and watch TV. I love being outside making up adventures as I go, or making art (see my post). The area I just moved to (Cabbage Town) is really great and there is always something for me and my friends to get into. Although I never watch TV there are things I do enjoy at home like: I love to cook, especially seafood, lamb, beef... well almost anything meat. But I also like to cook pasta and some vegetables. Other at home activities include: having friends over, movie nights with the roomies or friends, hanging out on my rooftop balcony (which has an amazing view of Atlanta), swimming, my dog also keeps me entertained, and a bunch of other stuff too.
